Martin tells Gail that there's not much right in their marriage. Curly is alarmed when James Kitching calls on him and belittles his leadership skills. Les's silence raises £103.57. Gail breaks down and is sent home from work. She tells Alma that she knows her marriage is a mess and feels Martin doesn't fancy her any more. Alma urges her to stop feeling sorry for herself. Rita comes to the end of her tether with Blanche and is taken aback when she tells her that she's too moody to work with and resigns. Janice is delighted that Leanne is going out with Mike's son. Ken and Deirdre go to the Court of Appeal where Deirdre's conviction is quashed. She decides that from now on she's concentrating on the future. Mike urges Mark not to take Leanne out but to find a girl with class. Mark tells him he chooses his own girlfriends and points out that Linda's a bit of rough.
