Welcome to the Corporate Casket, a semiweekly series where bad businesses go to die. We will discuss any and everything from bad charities, terrible CEOs, and businesses that have a lot to hide.
The tequila industry has a long, rich history in Mexican families. For generations, people have handed down the pastime to their kids and some have become massively successful. But, as tequila begins to grow in popularity internationally, this long-time tradition is coming into question. The agave shortage may be detrimental to the workers and the companies of the product, and the appropriation of an age-old tradition may be changing the industry for the worst.
