The "Cute Boy" Epidemic

So, there’s this new “style” going on that seems to only exist on Tik Tok and Instagram. It’s commonly identified by painted nails, dark clothing, chains, hair parted down the middle, and a lot of “sad rap”. Males who follow this particular style or trend are known as Eboys and they’re taking over the internet. All they really do though, is dance in front of the camera. How have they gained popularity? Perhaps it’s talent? Perhaps how attractive, teen girls perceive them to be plays a role into how successful they are on social media.
