Die vier bekannten Helden aus der Folge "Jackpot" (2016), Lara, Lenny, Jean-Claude und Bukovsky, geraten im Museum in ein neues, diesmal noch gefährlicheres Abenteuer.
Jean-Claude hat einen Job als Nachtwächter im Kunstmuseum, wo er gleich am ersten Abend einen Einbrecher zur Strecke bringt. Daraufhin werden die vier Helden von einem dubiosen Typen, den die SOKO als Linus Engler identifiziert, erpresst.
Sie sollen ein äußerst streng bewachtes Kunstobjekt aus dem Museum entwenden und durch eine Attrappe ersetzen. Bauer und sein Team müssen ergründen, in welchem Zusammenhang der Einbruch mit Todesfolge, die Helden-Erpressung und eine im Museum deponierte Bombe stehen und was Linus Engler im Schilde führt.
