Hugo Clément travels to the heart of the Amazon to discover the daily battle fought by forest guardians at great personal risk. He meets chief Raoni, who calls for forest protection. The journalist participates in a special GIGN operation in French Guiana to dismantle illegal gold‑mining camps ravaging the forest. Among those defending the Amazon, Hugo Clément meets Emilie, a French ethnologist supporting the Kayabo tribe, and Dr Rémi Pignoux, who treats Indigenous peoples suffering from mercury pollution in French Guiana.
