Animaniacs Video Essay
In the early 90s, American cartoons were looking to make a come back. The 70s and 80s had been hit with cheap, pointless
cartoons like GI Joe, He-Man, and so on, that were mainly designed to just sell toys to kids.
In the 90s, Warner Brothers, and later Hanna Barbera, gave us some of the most influencial, and important, cartoons ever made.
The most important, in my opinion, was Animaniacs. It wasn't just "funny", but acted as a door for writers and animators
to really tell their jokes. Without Animaniacs, we wouldn't have Batman The Animated Series, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls,
Samurai Jack, or really any of those cartoons that shaped all our childhoods.
