My favorite black rocket, Rocket Lab's Electron, is launching their first commercial payload out of their gorgeous launch site LC 1 on the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand!
The start of their launch window is scheduled for lift off at 02:27 UTC (10:27 PM Eastern) on Saturday (Friday for the US), June 23rd (22nd). Have I confused you yet?
They're to be launching four smallsats and a technology demonstrator into low Earth orbit in a 500km by 250km orbit at 85 degrees, and then circularize with their Curie kick stage into their final 500km x 500km orbit.
If you need a reminder of why the Electron is awesome, I have a video about that! Check it out! https://youtu.be/C0STPK3g9c8
