The roses are in full bloom at Longmeadow as Monty tackles some emergency pruning needed on one of his favourite crab apples. In the vegetable garden, it’s time to harvest garlic and an early crop of beans. He also plants up some narrow borders in the new seating area with species that will thrive in poor, shallow soil. Adam Frost travels to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens to discover more about the huge restoration project taking place. Nick Bailey continues to develop the design for his new forever garden. There's a passionate couple who have dedicated a lifetime to growing and hybridising thousands of cacti, and a visit a garden in Sheffield filled with an eclectic mix of upcycled, recycled and collected treasure.
