Many celebrities and business leaders claim to be ‘self-made’. This implies that they had no real help working their way to the top— but this simply isn’t true. The idea of being self-made is largely a myth. Inherited wealth, generational wealth, ‘small loans of a million dollars’ all contribute to these massive businesses. Few people are actually self-made, and today we’re going to explore why this myth is so dangerous.
