Where Your Mica Actually Comes From

**post editing note: in this video, i do make mention not using any mica in my own personal soap shop, because of what i found through research here and how mica is mined. and the way things are said in here may lead people to imply that all soap shops that use mica are bad.
as i said toward the end video, there are safeguards in place now to prevent mica being mined by children/slave labor/dangerous conditions. and there are a few soap supply shops that were able to verify they use these safeguards in their own product sourcing, which is awesome! one of those youtube shops that also appears to comply with sourcing ethically is Royalty Soaps. Katie is such a sweet gal and mentioned she does take the time to make sure her sources are safe sources as well.
Just in case there is an implication that she, and her company do not check their sourcing, I want to dispel that rumor from the video. and also to mention that if i am using mica in my own soaps that isnt synthetic, it is because it is coming from one of a these companies that chose to source ethically. :)
