The story for Final Fantasy XV is told across the main game, an animated series, an arcade style beat-em up and an animated film, because we definitely needed more complex Final Fantasy storylines. The film, Kingsglaive, also reeled in top-notch English voice talent with Aaron Paul, Lena Headey and professional dead-man-walking Sean Bean.

The game strays from previous Final Fantasy titles by using a Real-Time Combat system like Kingdom Hearts. Director Hajime Tabata explained they wanted to emphasize exploration of the game's open world, switching between exploration and combat seamlessly, but only the first half of Final Fantasy XV will be open world while the second half will be story-driven.

If it feels like you waited forever for Final Fantasy XV, that's because it was announced at E3 in 2006 (though it was called Final Fantasy Versus XIII back then) It has since been reworked for next gen consoles, PS4 and Xbox One. After 10 years of development, what could go wrong?

Though there are women integral to the game's narrative, there are actually zero playable female characters in Final Fantasy XV. To paraphrase Game Director Hajime Tabata, the presence of a female character would change the dynamic of the core group's bromance.

Japanese fashion house, Roen, designed the clothing for Final Fantasy XV's characters and now you can match your favorite character. Noctis' outfit (his Military Blouson Z, cropped pants, sheepskin gloves, and socks) costs nearly $2500 and Prompto's leather vest alone will set you back $2000. Hopefully, you've been saving.
