How did Netflix and Marvel Studios mess up one of the most promising superhero universes ever created?

When Daredevil debuted in 2015, it felt like Marvel had finally cracked the code for mature superhero television. Dark tone, brutal action, incredible performances, it was the gold standard for comic book TV.

But then everything fell apart.

From Daredevil and Jessica Jones to Luke Cage and Iron Fist, this was supposed to be Marvel’s answer to prestige television. Instead, it became one of the MCU’s biggest missed opportunities.
