In my latest EU4 ironman campaign, I played as Mewar, a small Indian nation with exceptionally strong military ideas. My goal was the earn the "Mewar Never Changes" achievement, which requires completing the entire Mewar national mission tree. Most of the missions give free claims to encourage the full unification of India, so it's ideal for an aggressive playthrough. You also have to earn high influence and loyalty from the Rajput estates, which suited me just fine, since they give strong, free infantry at no manpower cost.
After completing the mission tree, I decided to form Bharat and pursue another achievement, "The Sun Never Sets on the Indian Empire," which is basically a reverse British Empire. I IMPERIALISM'd my way to victory against the British, conquering London, Ottowa, Cape, and Hong Kong. Honestly, super easy.
Fun game. Not nearly as strong as my other runs, but the early game scramble to become a power in India is a worthy challenge.
