Skyrim is a game with no shortage of towns and cities. Perhaps the settlement with most notorious reputation however, is Riften. Capital of the Rift hold, Riften has become synonymous with the Thieves Guild and corruption in The Elder Scrolls franchise and is easily regarded as among Skyrim's most dangerous places. What the Thieves Guild doesn't control here, the powerful Black-Briar family does and it seems no place in Skyrim is less vulnerable to shady influences. However, there's more to this port city than meets the eye and indeed Riften is keeping quite a few secrets.
