St. George’s School, an elite New England prep school, sits on a hilltop in Rhode Island. Graduates have included Mellons, Vanderbilts, Bushes and Astors. But the campus holds decades of dark secrets. In April 2015, the school sends a letter to students and alumni stating that it is investigating claims of sexual abuse of students by a staff member. It seems ready to atone for its sins. As dozens of alumni come forward with stories of sexual misconduct by teachers and staff, how high will the number of victims – and perpetrators – climb? And how deep did the cover-up go?
