When you eat bread, you rarely go for the crust pieces, right? Unless you're one of THOSE people. And those people deserve respect. But most of us are like nawww no thanks, I'll take a middle slice because it's better. So why do we settle for only crust pieces with bagels? We don't have to. Not anymore. Well, at least not more than 2/3rd of the time if you're talking about a bagel of regular thickness. Every third slice can be something much more special. Or maybe you won't like it. I already built it up too much. No, I didn't.

Special breakfast is simple and delicious. There's no sense writing about it. It's meant to be tasted, not read about. Unless one day I write Special Breakfast, The Novel, Based on the Movie. But that's gonna take some time. So in the meanwhile, I recommend one of those Ken Burns documentaries.
