2 BILLION ounces of GOLD were mined here

In this episode I am diving into the world of gold mining in South Africa. I visit the area around the town Pilgrims Rest, which was declared a goldfield in 1873. Having worked in gold exploration myself, 10 years ago, I'm fascinated by the sheer volume of gold that they've managed to extract here over the years: a whopping 2 billion ounces of gold.
