VIDEO SUMMARY
In this video I talk about the acrimony that exists between women. I give a few of my experiences being girl-hated, doing some girl-hating and offer some other examples of what girl hate looks like. In the second section, I explain that a major factor contributing to girl hate is having unrealistic expectations of ourselves and each other. I argue that with such high expectations, it is unsurprising that women feel they are in competition with each other -- and that we act accordingly. In the third section, I assert that undoing girl hate starts with each of us. I encourage viewers to become aware of/question their internalized sexism and instead replace it with girl love, which I believe to be an important step toward self love and confidence.
