TRANSCRIPT:

We open in Vancouver right as the Reapers launch an all-out invasion of Earth. Things blow up, you run into vent-boy, and make your great escape on the Normandy where you're given your first mission by Admiral Hackett.

You head to Mars to find out the Protheans were building a huge weapon called "The Crucible." You bring this discovery to the Council who -- surprise! -- blows you off because, well, that's what they've been doing for the past two games. So now it's off to Palaven to reunite with Garrus and save a Turian primarch so you can hold a war summit which naturally goes awry because the Krogans are still miffed about that genophage thing. You travel to Sur'Kesh to grab the cure from the Salarians, then stop over at Tuchanka to disperse -- or was it sabotage? -- the cure.

Time to head back to the Citadel and tell the Council the good news - but wait! - it's being overrun by Cerberus! You foil the coup attempt and save the Council yet again, and then you're on your merry way to meet with the Quarians who, of course, require your services like everybody else in the galaxy. You board a Geth Dreadnought and disable the Reaper code with the help of Legion or something that looks like it, and then dispose of an actual Reaper with a dramatic orbital strike.

Now with the support of the Quarians or the Geth or maybe both, your next stop is Thessia, where you find a Prothean ready to tell you the secrets of the universe until Kai Leng ambushes you and makes off with the goods! You follow the trail from Horizon to Cerberus Headquarters where you send Kai Leng on a trip to Belize, catch up with the Illusive Man, and get all the juicy details on the Catalyst, which is actually Citadel!

Now with the galaxy's forces in tow, you attack the Reapers who have conveniently amassed its fleet and the closed-off Citadel in Earth's orbit. Joker punches through to London and there you make a mad dash for the Citadel portal while nearly being obliterated by Harbinger. You and Anderson stumble your way through the Citadel, talk the Illusive Man to death, and find out that vent-boy is the mastermind of all these galaxy-wide genocides. After careful deliberation, you do this... or maybe this -- no, not that! -- but probably this and so concludes the tale of Commander Shepard.
