The creation of The Avengers:
The creation of the first Avengers comic begins with a delay for the deadline of the release of the first issue of Daredevil. Writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby created The Avengers story by assembling a team of existing Marvel superheroes, following the trend set by the succes DC Comics’ use of superhero teams in Justice League of America. The Avengers superheroes were created shortly thereafter and the first issue of The Avengers comic was released in 1963 leading to years of success leading to the most recent launch of The Avengers: Age of Ultron released May 1, 2015.
Nick Fury - Samuel L. Jackson Character
Samuel L. Jackson originally learned about Marvel’s Nick Fury after seeing his face on an issue of the Ultimates in a comic book store. Jackson contacted Marvel who asked him to be in the movies. Six years later, Samuel L. Jackson made his debut as Director Nick Fury alongside Avengers Superheroes in Iron Man.
Avengers Villain Ultron - James Spader
In The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers Villain Ultron, wore antennae with red balls attached at the ends to represent Ultron’s eyes, who is 9 feet tall. During James Spader’s intense performances, Elizabeth Olsen, playing the Scarlet Witch, would instinctively look at him. Whenever this happened, her co-star would yell out “Red balls! Look at his balls, Lizzie!” which probably didn't help.
About Avengers:
The Avengers is a movie based on Marvel superhero characters produced by Marvel Studios with distribution by Walt Disney Studios. The movie follows the story of Marvel superhero characters including: Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk and Thor among other superheroes and villains including Ultron. The Avengers story follows the Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. played by Samuel L Jackson, as he recruits Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk and Thor to stop Thor’s brother Loki from conquering Earth. The movie won numerous awards and set numerous box office records including biggest opening weekend and the third highest grossing film.
About Avengers: Age of Ultron:
Avengers: Age of Ultron is the sequel to the original Avengers with a slated release date of May 1st, 2015. Age of Ultron contains many Marvel superhero characters including: Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, James Spader’s Ultron and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury among others. Two additional sequels, Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War part 2 are both scheduled to be released in May 2018 and May 2019 respectively. Age of Ultron is the 11th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU.
