Ta-Chih decides to resign, but Chiao-An dismisses her. A suspected mentally ill person takes children hostage at a kindergarten. Chiao-An insists on waiting until the children are safe before going live, pressuring her brother-in-law I-Chun to appear on air. Wang She and his wife wait anxiously outside — their daughter is among the hostages. Ta-Chih recognizes a familiar face being led out by police.
