Thriller science-fiction oparty na serii popularnych gier komputerowych. Korporacja Parasol jest wiodącym w świecie dostawcą technologii komputerowych i produktów medycznych. Jednak głównym źródłem jej dochodów są prowadzone w tajemnicy prace nad technologiami wojskowymi, eksperymentami genetycznymi i bronią biologiczną. W supertajnym podziemnym laboratorium firmy trwają prace nad niezwykle niebezpiecznym wirusem. Kiedy ze zbitej próbówki wirus dostaje się do systemu wentylacyjnego, Red Queen - główny komputer, odcina drogę ucieczki pracującym w laboratorium naukowcom. Wszyscy giną. Do laboratorium przybywa elitarna grupa komandosów. Mają trzy godziny, żeby izolować wirus. Jego wydostanie się na zewnątrz grozi ogólnoświatową epidemią. Tymczasem w podziemiach czeka nieznany wróg.
