Stefan Vollmer isn’t a morning person. Or so he used to be. But he can no longer afford to be, now that he has taken up a post at Georg-Schwerthoff Comprehensive School after a ten-year break. And his class isn’t exactly the sort that brightens his mood at the start of lessons. Because with the G-course, Stefan Vollmer has been assigned precisely those pupils who have been given up on, who have little chance of graduating.
