We no longer know if society is progressing adequately: what we do assume is that it is changing, and we think that it is never very similar to what it was before. But the philosopher Francisco Fernández Buey repeated that the history of ideas is like a Ferris wheel: with thoughts, desires and even cries that come and go. Between the treadmill and progress there is only one conviction: the best way to think better is by discussing and rethinking.
