Known for his work on mountain climibing manga “Kokou no Hito” (also known as "The Climber" or "Ascension") or “Innocent”, set in the French Revolution, Shinichi Sakamoto is a mangaka with a unique approach, we spent time with him to discover the themes & motivations behind his work.


Sakamoto adopted a fully digital work environment and a process rarely seen in manga creation, he will tell us more about the symbolism in his works, strongly based on metaphors instead of the usual onomatopoeia.
