Meero arrives on Ferrix to go to town while keeping a low profile with Corv.
Bix is still in jail in a bad way.
Xan tells Brasso about Cassian's message. They are afraid that Cassian will come back for his mother's funeral. Nurchi spies on them and wants to know a little more. He is going to get Xan drunk to get vital information that he can pass on to the Empire.

Soon after their arrival, Meero and Corv go undercover to get a sense of what's going on in the streets of Ferrix, and they don't know that Cinta is following them.
On Coruscant, Mon Mothma and Perrin discuss the couple's financial difficulties, especially with Perrin getting back into the game. Mon is quick to ask their driver to give them some privacy. But the driver is a spy for the Empire and is listening in.
Cassian makes his way back to Ferrix, runs into Pegla and learns what the Empire did to Bix while he was away. Meero sets up his plan to capture Cassian during the funeral.
Cassian meets Brasso again. The emotion is palpable.

Fanfares invade the city. The Empire is caught off guard and accelerates its plan. The funeral begins. Maarva's testamentary speech is broadcast in public. It is very anti-Empire and calls for rebellion. A guard tries to stop the message, which sends the people into a frenzy and they fight the guard present. Wilmon Paak, who built a bomb to avenge his father's death, throws it at the guard. The explosion blows all the surroundings.

Brasso does not hesitate to sweep and save Wilmon from the melee. Cinta and Vel are not the only ones preparing to leave Ferrix. In the shipyard, Jezzi, Brasso, Wilmon, Pelga and B2EMO have boarded Cassian's ship. He arrives with Bix, still in shock. Cassian does not accompany them in the escape.

Mon Mothma is unable to avoid the deal she made with Davo Sculdun. Mon and Perrin introduce their daughter Leida to Davo's son.

Luthen witnesses the battle from afar and flees on his vehicle. As he arrives in his ship, Cassian holds him at gunpoint and asks him to take her with him.

In the post-credits scene, the robots are busy building the Death Star which is in orbit.
