Los Angeles, 1928. Un matin, Christine dit au revoir à son fils Walter et part au travail. Quand elle rentre à la maison, celui-ci a disparu. Une recherche effrénée s'ensuit et, quelques mois plus tard, un garçon de neuf ans affirmant être Walter lui est restitué. Christine le ramène chez elle mais au fond d'elle, elle sait qu'il n'est pas son fils...

J'ai commencé ce film sans trop réfléchir et il m'a complètement captivé. Rarement j'ai trouvé un film si magnifique et déchirant à la fois. Angelina Jolie est parfaite dans ce rôle. Vraiment un film à voir!

Mais quelle histoire ! Un film bien maîtrisé, très captivant sur une histoire incroyable et terrible. Encore un très grand film de Clint Eastwood. 4.5*

Un film bouleversant et qui montre encore une fois la maltraitance envers les enfants et les femmes, à cette époque. J'ai adoré Angelina Jolie dans ce rôle.
