TRANSCRIPT:
Before they took to the skies on The Icarus, Muse Games began as a tiny indie studio in the heart of New York City. With funding from a big publisher in Asia, Muse went to work on Guns of Icarus Online but it became increasingly apparent that the publisher wouldn't honor their creative vision. Forced to compromise, Muse delivered a prototype in only five months but the publisher wanted more features and more big-eyed anime girls. Enough was enough and Muse called off the arrangement, despite being told by the publisher that they would clone the game.

Having nearly gone broke, Muse continued to develop the game out of pocket and with money borrowed from family. Working tirelessly through nights and weekends, Muse finally launched Guns of Icarus Online on October 29th, 2012. Also launching: Hurricane Sandy.

Hurricane Sandy knocked out the power and flooded the studio's building, forcing a complete lockdown by building security. But the servers had to be maintained, the hotfixes sent out, and the players pleased... Muse would not be denied. They sent in their very best to infiltrate the studio, secure the computer, and deliver the package to another waiting developer. And with that, Guns of Icarus Online received its very first update.

Since then, Guns of Icarus Online has soared to the top of Steam charts, had its servers explode, and seen thousands of sky captains shot down in a blaze of glory. As for Muse Games... they're still feverishly whacking away at servers with wrenches.
