A Life Well Lost
Trapped by Richard Brown, Claire finds herself imprisoned for the murder of Malva. Knowing the future, she knows that her imprisonment could last a very long time, since her trial and those of her fellow prisoners are not about to take place.
With her status as a healer, she is called to the bedside of the wife of a high-ranking British officer in charge of managing the rebellion in the region.
