We Light the Way
Lady Rhea Royce, returning from a hunting trip, runs into Daemon and lectures him about his boring husband situation. Feeling threatened, she wants to attack Daemon but her horse rears up and falls heavily on her, leaving her paralyzed. Daemon happily puts her out of her misery.
King Viserys and his guard go to High Tide to meet Lord Corlys to discuss Rhaenyra's forced marriage to Laenor Velaryon.
On the beach, Laenor and Rhaenyra are talking. Laenor isn't too keen on the idea of getting married either. She asks him to seal an agreement: they give the King a descendant and they can love whoever they want. Laenor does not like women and is close to Joffrey Lonmouth. As the wedding approaches, they wonder if their love can hold.
On the way home, Criston Cole, in love with Rhaenyra, asks her to leave the kingdom with him. But in King's Landing, Criston Cole is asked by the Queen to tell her about the night Rhaenyra slept over.
During the wedding ceremony, Daemon arrives and asks Rhaenyra not to get married...
