Rhaenyra gives birth to a baby boy. Queen Alicent is desperate to see the newborn. Laenor Velaryon rushes to Rhaenyra's bedside who is getting ready with difficulty, a few minutes after giving birth. King Viserys is very happy about this birth and names him Joffrey without even consulting his daughter.
Back home, we meet Jacaerys and Lucerys, the first two sons of Rhaenyra. The Commander Harwin Strong is with the Princess and innuendos rain down on the true paternity of Joffrey.

In Pentos, Daemon is married to Laena Velaryon. They have two children, Rhaena and Baela. They are asked to stay here to fight the Triarchy as Laena is about to give birth to their third child.
Harwin Strong and Criston Cole train the King's sons and grandsons. The relationship between the two soldiers is not very cordial. His possible relationship with Princess Rhaenyra is causing the whole kingdom to fall apart, and Laenor's position is undermined.
